In June 2013 in Ashford, Kent an ambitious and strong mind began a journey of shaping Anna’s first own solo production ‘SIQ’ for which, she was nationally and internationally awarded and recognized.
Those rehearsals for that first production laid the grain of sand for an exciting way through, culminating in the decisive thought and confirming her artistic signature in creating Anna Borràs Company.
Inspired by Anna Borràs’s early training and repertoires danced in several postgraduate companies. As well as by the unique methodology work of Akram Khan, Anna continued her deep research, leaded and charged by a desire to learn more about herself and her qualities as well as to create through collaboration with dance artist who were inspirational, curious and wild souls.
She was so sure about one thing: she needed to tell her own stories through her dance works and she wanted to share it with the entire world thinking big, passionate and with no strings attached. Taking risks into the unknown.
That’s how everything began!

Indra Dance Company was born in 2010 as a platform for Anna and Daniel to start their professional careers in the world of contemporary dance art.
Both graduated in 2010 from the professional dance conservatory in Barcelona, the Institut del Teatre. They began their professional careers individually, working with different international dance companies and alongside big prestigious names in the world of international contemporary dance.
During their careers, they have worked and performed in prestigious theaters and operas as well in many different countries in America, Europe and Asia.
Indra Dance Company has become a safe haven for Daniel and Anna. To share again and learn from each other, from the skills they have developed throughout their years in the professional trade separately.
IDC encouraged this constant passion and creativity chase, to create new productions for the company, teach company classes and deliver experiences through their repertoire and creative workshops as well as through different q&a’s. Focusing into the development of the company itself.
Our compositional dance work also involves a deep musical research as well as conscious dramaturgical aspects into the dance scene and the different structures of the piece. The scenographic elements created are the essence and the appropriate meaning for each choreographic piece cchoreographed. We are able to make all this possible thanks to all the people who are working behind the scenes and who help us make the Indra Dance Company project a reality.
